How to Effectively Set up Parental Controls on Disney Plus?
Here’s what you can do to set up parental control on Disney Plus effectively:
1. Join Junior Mode
The streaming platform Disney Plus has a feature called Junior mode that was specifically designed for young viewers.
Follow these steps:
On your Disney Plus account, go to the Add Profile option.
Then, fill in the name, and turn ‘ON’ the option Kids’ profile settings.
Last, tap Save.
On creating your kids’ profile in this mode, it will only show the age-appropriate shows and movies to your kids.
2. Create a Separate Profile
You have also been offered to create a separate profile for your kids of different interests and ages.
All you need to do is:
Open your Disney Plus Account, and click the Add Profile icon.
Now, type in the name in a given space.
Then, scroll down to the option Disney+ PARENTAL CONTROLS, and turn on the option Kids Profiles.
3. Manage Content Rating
Once you set up age ratings, the movies and TV shows rated higher than the profile's content rating will not show up.
Here’s how you manage it:
Go to the Profile Selection page >> Edit Profiles >> Parental control >> Content Ratings.
Next, you’ll see a list of ratings appearing on your screen - click any to limit the viewable content.
4. Create a Profile Lock PIN
You can set up and manage a 4-digit Profile PIN on your Disney+ account that will restrict your child's access to content under your profile on Disney Plus.
To do it:
Tap Edit Profile >> Profile PIN.
Place in the four-digit PIN to use as a profile lock.
Now, enter your Profile password and tap CONTINUE.
5. Restrict Profile Creation
You can enable the restricted profile creation feature to not let anyone including your kids create new profiles and get access to content that is not suitable for them.
To do so:
Tap the Profile icon >> Account.
Now, put on the option Restrict Profile Creation.
Then, enter your password, and tap CONTINUE.
That’s it!! You may now grab your peace of mind knowing your kids are safely exploring Disneyland.
